【摘要】:ThispartofBS5306givesrecommendationsonthesuitabilityandsitingofportablefireextinguishers,primarilythoseconformingtoBSEN3,thatcanbecarriedbyonepersonandthatareusedfortheprotectionofbuildingsandotherpremisesandtheircontents.NOTEThescaleofprovisionofportableextinguisherswillbedependentontheoverallriskassessmentofthebuilding.Otherfirefightingequipmentorsystemsmaybeprovided.Wheresuchothermeansareprovided,expertadviceshouldbesoughtonthescaleofprovision.Thiscodeofpracticedoesnotgivedetailedrecommendationsforsmallprivatedwellings.Theselectionandlocationofportableextinguishersinaircraft,caravansandmarinecraftarealsoexcluded.
