【摘要】:Samplingisequallyasimportantasthetesting,andthesamplershalluseeveryprecautiontoobtainsamplesthatwillshowthenatureandconditionofthematerialswhichtheyrepresent.Samplesforpreliminaryinvestigationtestsareobtainedbythepartyresponsiblefordevelopmentofthepotentialsource(Note3).Samplesofmaterialsforcontroloftheproductionatthesourceorcontroloftheworkatthesiteofuseareobtainedbythemanufacturer,contractor,orotherpartiesresponsibleforaccomplishingthework.Samplesforteststobeusedinacceptanceorrejectiondecisionsbythepurchaserareobtainedbythepurchaserorhisauthorizedrepresentative.Note38212;Thepreliminaryinvestigationandsamplingofpotentialaggregatesourcesandtypesoccupiesaveryimportantplaceindeterminingtheavailabilityandsuitabilityofthelargestsingleconstituententeringintotheconstruction.Itinfluencesthetypeofconstructionfromthestandpointofeconomicsandgovernsthenecessarymaterialcontroltoensuredurabilityoftheresultingstructure,fromtheaggregatestandpoint.Thisinvestigationshouldbedoneonlybyaresponsibletrainedandexperiencedperson.Formorecomprehensiveguidance,seetheAppendix.1.1Thispracticecoverssamplingofcoarseandfineaggregatesforthefollowingpurposes:1.1.1Preliminaryinvestigationofthepotentialsourceofsupply,1.1.2Controloftheproductatthesourceofsupply,1.1.3Controloftheoperationsatthesiteofuse,and1.1.4Acceptanceorrejectionofthematerials.Note18212;Samplingplansandacceptanceandcontroltestsvarywiththetypeofconstructioninwhichthematerialisused.1.2Thetextofthisstandardreferencesnotesandfootnoteswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthestandard.1.3ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note28212;Thequalityoftheresultsproducedbythisstandardaredependentonthecompetenceofthepersonnelperformingtheprocedureandthecapability,calibration,andmaintenanceoftheequipmentused.AgenciesthatmeetthecriteriaofPracticeD3666aregenerallyconsideredcapableofcompetentandobjectivetesting/sampling/inspection/etc.UsersofthisstandardarecautionedthatcompliancewithPracticeD3666alonedoesnotcompletelyassurereliableresults.Reliableresultsdependonmanyfactors;followingthesuggestionsofPracticeD3666orsomesimilaracceptableguidelineprovidesameansofevaluatingandcontrollingsomeofthosefactors.
